Ariadna Mavila

Ariadna Mavila explores themes of identity, memory, and belonging through painting, installation, and craft-based practices. Born in Lima and raised between the northern coast and the Amazon region, her practice is rooted in the layered experiences of diasporic life and mixed ancestry. She draws from Indigenous mythology, Catholic iconography, and personal history to reflect on the in-between spaces that shape cultural and emotional identity. Using materials like oil, acrylic, wood, and silver, Ariadna's work creates portals into quiet, intimate worlds that echo both contemporary longing and ancestral knowledge.

She holds a BFA in Painting from OCAD University (2024) and currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
